They thoughtfully gave me soluble drugs to make them easier to take and simultaneously bathe the wound site but, in a peculiarly sadistic twist, the most effective one needs to be taken with, or after, food. Chicken-egg. Gotta eat painfully to take the painkillers. I think my choice of a bowl of Special K wasn't the wisest - live and learn.
