The Olympic wrestling gold medal matches was competed in the spirit of sportsmanship, involved no cheating and the better man won, much to the annoyance of wrestling fans around the globe.

Spectators had flocked to the arenas, hoping to the see the stars of tomorrow but were shocked to see, as they described, ‘to grown man rolling around together.’

‘I tried to smell what they were cooking,’ said one fan, ‘and it smelled of crap. These guys will be eating alive in the pro ranks. During one match a referee slipped, hurting himself. We were waiting for one of the guys to kick the other in the nuts then run for a steel folding chair or something. Instead they stopped and helped them up.’

On a scouting mission for the WWE Head of Talent recruitment Paul Leveque – know better by his ring name Terra Ryzing – couldn’t see one competitor he felt was ready for the big leagues. ‘They just lack basic fundamentals. There was a Spanish announcing team and not once was an attempt made to put someone through their table. Where were the thumbtacks or sledgehammers? Where were the big breasted women stripping and the 60 year old commentator shouting about their puppies?’

‘I’m not coming again,’ was the verdict of another fan. ‘It gets to the final so we’re expecting a ladder match, or a no DQ match but they just keep on rolling around. And their interviews, - may the best man win – what the hell kind of catchphrase is that?’
