We may have to wait until the planes are actually flying again but our members are prepared for that. Right now is not the time for industrial action.<br /> We have balloted our members and the vote was unanimous. They are keen to get back to work.<br /> They realise the ash cloud is bad for business and BA are losing millions of pounds as a result of this latest setback.<br /> We would like to do whatever we can to help BA in these difficult times. Getting back to work is our main priority right now.<br /> There are a few minor details to sort out first.<br /> We are currently in negotiations with BA over working hours and overtime payments but they have said they don't need us right now. They said we can stay on strike and they will let us know when they need us back.<br /> This is totally unacceptable and we are now considering strike action over not being allowed to go back to work.<br /> We are not prepared to be dictated to in this way.<br /> Our members demand the right to work. If they are denied this basic human right, then the only available option will be to call a strike.<br /> It is time BA realised they can't have it both ways. </p>
