Something that's sure to be a lucrative move if it's true.</p> <p>Driving force and the band's musician George Michael was being guarded but didn't rule it out when speaking to The Financial Times last night. "I'm not saying this isn't going to happen but there are one or two practicalities to consider. Not least what role will Andrew play if we do reform? The music-buying public is a lot more savvy than when we were last out there, so I'd have to insist he took singing or guitar lessons or something. Anything really!"</p> <p>Certainly a lot of water has flown under the bridge since these now not so young guns last went for it, and pop insiders wonder if they can actually still hack it. Writing in a on-line blog Dave Reynolds of Q Magazine says, "Wham were of their time and I wonder how they can be relevant in the modern world. And of course age is taking its toll and there's George to think about, bless him. I mean just say he's belting out <em>Club Tropicana</em> and Andrew's there arseing around beside him - doing God knows what he's intending to do this time around - and suddenly over the PA we hear a low buzzing and terrible high-pitched whining. No, I think all things considered the lads should leave us to cherish the memories."</p> <p>Meanwhile the trend for stars of yesteryear coming back to top-up their pension pots shows no sign of abating. Already there are further rumours that this Autumn will see a showcase tour with Des O'Connor and legendary Irish crooner Val Doonican headlining. Surely a case if ever there was one for the tour manager having to wake them up before they go-go. </p>
