			<description>&#60;p&#62;The undisputed greatest supporters in football have slagged of their team while congratulating themselves for never slagging of their team.&#60;br /&#62;
Football fan Tom Hutton said, ‘We never got down on our side despite them being completely rubbish. We belted them with tomatoes after the game but we kept singing to the very end.&#60;br /&#62;
‘At the end of day we were the only ones who turned up. I mean all we had to do was get drunk and make noise while they had to compete against vastly superior players who were actively trying to stop them but they just didn’t have the passion like we did. I don’t care how many of them cried or puked from exhaustion, they didn’t try hard enough.’&#60;br /&#62;
Professor Harry Davies concurred, ‘The effect of football fandom is a curious thing. When the team is doing well the fans correctly credit themselves as being the deciding factor. It’s not the talent of the players; nor their decade’s long commitment or even the tactics of the manager than win you trophies but which end of the stadium is singing “We Shall Not Be Moved,” loudest and most often. When a team loses, however, blame cannot be assigned to the supporters. They are not on the field of play so it would be ridiculous to suggest they influence proceedings. So it’s perfectly fine for a fanatic to say “we,” when a team is successful then disassociate himself from failure by using the term “they,” when the team is defeated.”
