Ideally suited for use in the smallest room in the house, the breakthrough was described by one analyst as ‘a breath of fresh air’.</p> <p>With tablet and smartphone use on the rise in 84% of toilets, Apple is planning to develop a steady stream of apps that can take on the strain. Future products could even include built-in air quality sensors, that allow software to announce when a courtesy flush is required.</p> <p>“Apple prides itself in listening to its customers”, said a spokesman. “Although sometimes, that requires a strong stomach.” The company is currently developing a range of anti-bacterial covers for their products, but has scrapped plans for a 2-ply iPhone, that would have been soft enough for wiping your arse. </p>
