Does anybody else feel like picking it up and turning it into a sub?</p> <p>David Cameron approves Special Forces mission to rescue Government popularity</p> <p>When the hostages in Afghanistan were rescued recently all the news reports seemed quite keen to mention that Cameron had personally authorised the mission, presumably to try to try to boost his popularity. I had the idea of the Coalition’s popularity having been missing since some time last year, when it was feared that it had been killed in multiple attacks on tuition fees and the NHS. When a Labour party led by Ed Miliband achieved success in local elections people feared the worst and gave up hope. But after a successful mission to rescue a hostage in Afghanistan there were indications that the government’s popularity may still be clinging to life. This gave people hope and Cameron immediately gave his personal authorisation to the same team to go in search of their popularity and bring it out alive etc etc etc.</p> <p>Any takers? </p>
