Great stuff! It occurred to me last night that for such a big strike, it had absolutely no impact on my day, even though we have kids and our youngest had a hospital appointment.

I think we need to have a private sector strike, to protest about all the unfair competition from China. Strikes can alter reality, right?

The government have dismissed a claim from the PCS union that almost 9 billion public sector workers took part in Thursday’s walkout, insisting that the real number was closer to ‘minus two kajillion’.

‘The government would have you believe that there was a poor turnout for this strike, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. We actually had a million percent turnout.’ claimed Mark Serwotka, general secretary of the PCS union, ‘Every single public sector worker took part to show their displeasure, even David Cameron, despite what he may claim. So there.’

Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude disagreed strongly with these claims however, ‘I was in work on Thursday and I could barely move for public sector workers, there were millions of them, far more than normal. Extra workers were coming in just to show that they didn’t support the unjust strikes.’ said Mr Maude, before adding ‘nerr nerr nerr’ and sticking his tongue out at Mr Serwotka.
