Maybe NewsBiscuit mainly appeals to other contributers, in the same way that people who like Larry David are generally either comedy writers, balds, Jews, or neurotics.

My wife is generally supportive and appreciative of my biscuiteering, but not terribly interested. Hers is more of a visual slapstick sense of humour and it's a rare joke that doesn't have to be explained. But the things that make her laugh REALLY make her laugh.

Mr B finds my real life quips humorous, yet cannot be tempted under any circumstances to read anything on NB, whether it's mine or not. Even when I got my first (shared) FP, he looked glazed and indifferent. Now, while he's aware of my biscuiting, it's something we don't talk about.

Whilst I'm mildly narked at 'some of my best work' getting completely overlooked with no comments or votes (I'm half-kidding - I actually think I'm quite circumspect on that front - my boat will undoubtedly float differently to someone elses), it did make me wonder about humour differences at home.

Plenty of NewsBiscuit subs (and chat banter) make me giggle, but whenever I point the missus in the general direction of NB, she barely raises a smile, especially at my stuff, even though I do think she's got a good sense of humour. Anyone else find their other half less appreciative of their biscuiting than they ought to pretend to be?
