The issue was finally resolved when an interviewer attending his house pointed out that the furniture was still in his room and had not 'simply disappeared' as Mr Murdoch had previously feared.</p> <p>'I entered the room and Mr Murdoch was standing in the middle looking tired. I suggested we took a seat and he stated that it would appear that someone else already had. It wasn't until I lifted one corner of a cover to reveal a sofa underneath that Mr Murdoch became aware of his error.'</p> <p>'It was basically a cover up, a cover up that had been going on since the decorator's wife had a heart attack and he was forced to leave without tidying up around three years ago,' explained the Media Mogul, 'I think maybe the Budgie knew it, aswell as the other occupants of the bird cage, but the information was definitely kept from anybody above them in the Hierarchy; My son and I were definitely not kept in the loop.'</p> <p>Within days of the news breaking Mr Murdoch shut down his sitting room, after one last party, before moving all the furniture to another room and opening that as his 'lounge' the next week. The resignation of his budgie is expected shortly. </p>
