Any embarrassing attempts at entertainment should also be made public, as should any drunken mishaps or rows, preferably accompanied by a bitterly sarcastic commentary.’</p> <p>David Cameron denied that this was necessary however, and sought to reassure the public that nothing untoward had been going on. ‘Our dinner parties are a private affair’ he maintained, ‘and none of your business. I can however confirm that everyone attending looking for perhaps a reduction in the 50p tax rate have given the evening 10 out of 10, due in no small part to Nick’s soufflés, which are always a triumph.’ </p>
