I'll tell you what, though, Mr Plucky: Wall Street's blackmail - intended to prevent the passage of legislation which would regulate trading and banking - has shown that you can throw all the trillions you like at exotic derivatives and "mortgage backed" securities, exotic insurance schemes and so forth - you will never (ever!) solve the debt overhang unless you do as Wall Street wants. And what do they want?

They want to dripfeed on tax revenues, via the IMF, and we can all go hang. We might as well cut to the chase and do to them what they want to do to us. First.

In "my" circumscription, Lab is every bit as nasty as the Tories, spiked street furniture and sleepless bus shelters, ready in time for the "housing" crisis.

Scary: numbnut Liberals have an overwhelming majority. They got us into this mess and won't give up till it's crashed.

....With US indebtedness in the countless Trillionii, it makes sense that Wall Street paper is worthless. Angels dancing on the head of a pin, beside the debt overhang. For moment it does seem as though Mr Mickey McMarket got it right: zero demand. Wall paper.

"M" and the touchkey "B" are not next to each other...are they?

When Salmon Brothers took the market down over T-Bill fraud, they should have shot the CEO. Now any hack trader can get away with this. Mind: if the rich guys didn't have gummints over a barrel, you n me wouldn't have to pay the tab.

Hey: I've got one of those good ideas...
