It has been revealed that Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg is 'creatively excited' at the possibility of a hung parliament having seen 'great potential' in the laundry room at the back of no. 10.

"When I was at dinner at number 10. a week or so ago I noticed that the laundry room at the back of the downstairs floor is quite spacious", Clegg told BBC's Nick Owen, "and then I thought 'if the parliament really does hang in the election, and us lot really are going to have to muck in and share this place, then I'm sure that I can turn this spot into a lovely studio space for me and the family, and I'll be far away from Gordon Brown's bedroom, which I suppose is logical'"

Insiders have said that Mr. Brown and Mr. Cameron have thought about where they'd suggest the sofa went in the living room, and that they'd argued over when they'd be allowed to have full access to the tele, but they were far too busy with politics to worry about room placements, although they have played paper-scissors-stone for the conservatory, which Mr. Brown has won.

It is thought that Clegg will do all of the MPs' laundry if he gets to stay in the laundry room, saying "it's the very least I can do, this will all be a tremendous priviledge."
