I heard an advert for it on the radio and thought of this. So watched a trailer as a bit of research. It did look a bit shit to be honest.

With sci-fi blockbuster ‘The Darkest Hour’, based on an invasion by hostile aliens who cannot be seen, set to hit the UK’s cinemas this weekend excitement is building amongst film fans, eager to see invisible aliens brought to life in glorious 3D.

‘Ever since the 3D technology started to be widely used in films I’ve been a huge fan.’ said one slightly scarily keen fan, while unaware he was drooling a little bit. ‘It’s just so exciting going to the cinema to see how writers and producers have shoe-horned in parts where things fly towards the screen, without bothering to relate them to the plot.’

‘Sure, people say that with the aliens being invisible it’s pointless paying £6 extra for the 3D version. Well I say they might be invisible in the standard 2D, but I bet they look great in 3D.’

Some lucky fans have already been fortunate enough to see special advance screenings of the film, and one was particularly impressed.

‘Things kept flying towards the screen for no discernible reason, and the characters would occasionally just run right at me. It was amazing! The invisible aliens were awesome in 3D too! To not be able to see anything, but in three dimensions instead of two, was definitely worth the extra money. I know I’ve already seen it but I’ve still booked six tickets to go and watch it again on the opening day. I’m going on my own but buying six tickets shows how much I like it.’

‘I love 3D films, they’re the best. I just wish there was some way I could see in 3D all the time, instead of just at the cinema.’
