There have been sightings<br /> of a man walking the streets of Sandown, with what appears to be a<br /> firearm on display, but not pointed at anyone. Islanders who have seen<br /> him have reported that he has been following local police officers in<br /> an apparent ‘monitoring’ capacity. Apparently he is there to ensure<br /> that the police treat his ‘brothers’ appropriately. From this, we<br /> suspect that this man has family on the Island.</p> <p>Deputy Chief Superintendent Williams, the most senior officer on the<br /> Isle of Wight, told the media, ‘This has certainly come as a surprise,<br /> and I stress that it is a very rare occurrence for a black panther to<br /> be sighted anywhere on the Isle of Wight. At present, we have no<br /> information about where he came from, or what he wants. However, I can<br /> personally confirm that there is no police brutality or murder of black<br /> people, other people of colour, or any oppressed people on the Isle of<br /> Wight.’</p> <p>Local GP, Dr James Howser, was one of the first people to report the<br /> sighting of the black panther. ‘I found some of his demands unusual,’<br /> said Dr Howser, ‘He was speaking of his ‘Ten Point Program’ and his<br /> demand for free healthcare for all black and oppressed people. I tried<br /> explaining that the NHS worked in the same way on the Isle of Wight as<br /> it did in the rest of the country, but he didn’t seem interested. I did<br /> mention that we have a private hospital in Newport, and he responded to<br /> that with the demand for an end to the robbery by the capitalists of<br /> the Black Community.’</p> <p>Another islander, Melanie Windett, reported her sighting, ‘He was<br /> chanting ‘The Revolution has co-ome, it's time to pick up the gu-un.<br /> Off the pigs!’ I didn’t really understand what he meant. We don’t have<br /> too many revolutions here. I thought it might have been an advert for<br /> the Seaview Regatta.</p> <p>The search continues. </p>
