My comment wasn't just a a dig at Custard. It's just that I noticed him appear, make his comment, then disappear. I have, though, noticed that there've been quite a few popping up recently, saying I did that years ago, I had the word "and" in a sentence as well. Saying that, anyone else trying an I- something joke deserves to be impaled, though I don't mind in the least, Screenie, you nicking my %age line for your pathetic one-liner.

Ah well, I thought it was starworthy and funny and NiB already). Then and now. If I ever manage to come up with something to sub I choose not to do a search for fear of finding that my brain is merely recycling something I read a week ago. Given my hit-rate perhaps I ought to modify my approach.

I've somehow managed to get the Airport question sub by Des as my link into newsbiscuit. Nothing to do with the subject at hand but I thought it was QI. Still waiting for greg's comments on my last two subs

I don't feel bad that something similar had been done before.

In fact, during the huge amount of research that I put into the sub before cobbling it together, I discovered that the first observation that most Range Rovers have personalised number plates occurred in the early 1700s. So anything since then is a little bit unoriginal.

I feel ever so slightly guilty that before writing a lazy sub on a lazy subject I was too lazy to do a search for similar material.

But I can't get the search thing to work very well anyway. And I'm lazy. So I'm sure I'll get over it.

Up next - Andy Murray reverts to being Scottish while not indicating in his BMW after exiting Wimbledon.

Custard logs on only to tell a contributor he's done it already, probably before he was born. It's called the I'm great and you feel bad factor.

An extremely rare Range Rover, believed by experts to be the only one in the UK without a personalised registration, is due to go on sale at auction today.

The rarity value of the 2008 Range Rover Sport is such that it is tipped to fetch over £150,000 once the bidding starts. This is considerably more than a new model featuring the standard personalised plate would cost, with numbers mangled to vaguely resemble the letters in ‘BIG MIKE’. Experts feel though that it is worth the extra cash to stand out from the crowd of other 4x4s, with a plate that doesn’t make any pretentious statement about the driver.

The current owner of the car has expressed his surprise at the amount of interest generated by the sale.

‘I just don’t get it, I can’t understand what all the fuss is about at all.’ said Mr YG58 HGY.
