<p>The Great Pyramid in Egypt was closed Friday, 11/11/11, because it was in need of maintenance. There were concerns that some groups would try to perform magic rituals there due to the unusual date, so the decision was made to close the pyramid to prevent this. The maintenance men, dressed in long robes with stars on them, carrying staffs with crystals on top, and wearing long grey beards and pointed hats, were seen entering the pyramid just before 11:00. Head cleaner, Gandalf, was asked if there was any truth to the rumour that a mysterious power would be unleashed from the structure on that day at 11:11 o'clock. "It's hogwash," he was quoted as saying. "There is no magic here today. We're just going to clean this mess up. You would not believe the sand that gets in over the tourist season."
