When budhist nun Tanzin Wangmo doused herself in petrol in a busy Tibetan market square and set herself alight, it was the last straw for watching concerned environmentalist Fortescue Alstruther.

Whilst Wangmo was making her ultimate sacrifice in protest at the Dalai Lama's exile from her homeland, Alstruther's concern was for the wider world community and environment. Clad in a traditional ethnic llama fur smock, the 19year old gap year ecotourist immediately launched a counter protest of his own, pointedly refusing to urinate on the conflagrated nun.

'What if we all did that, huh, you selfish cow?' cried Alstruther, whilst relieving himself into the gutter as Wangmo burned down to embers. 'Its your own Himalayan perma-frost you're melting, you know, shoving your carbon up into our atmosphere'

When asked about his impromptu counter-protest, Alstruther felt he had done no more than any other concerned ecologically aware fashionista would do, and was a little embarrassed at the praise being heaped on him. 'When you see wrong in society, you don't think, you just act and I grabbed whatever came to hand to make my point. Really,if she'd given it a little thought, its not as if there isn't a bloody great mountain range around here to leap off'.

The Dalai Lama, currently on a state tour of the Maldives, spoke out in support of Wangmo's actions 'I wear my scant orange robe as part of a solemn vow, and Tibet is bloody nippy this time of year. If more of my followers act as nobly as Tanzin Wangmo then perhaps it will become ambient enough for my return'.
