Not only did the promised funds transfer never arrive, but this poor old fellow found that his life savings had disappeared. Worse still, he borrowed from relatives to meet the gentleman at the Owl and Monkey Haven, deep in the Island’s interior beyond the rule of law, and we fear abduction. The ruthlessness of local inhabitants, many of whom feign frailty with wheelchairs and walking sticks as props, is not to be underestimated.’ </p>
