Framley Examiner and Viz do it really well. Probably best not to click on the link below. They do mainly 'small ads' though.

http://www.framley.com/

When I used to represent my company at trade shows, several hours could pass with no meaningful human interaction, just me staring out of my stand, across the exhibition hall, across time.

After a few days I'd get thoroughly sick of all the generic corporate slogans, and my dream was to win the lottery and come back to set up a generic exhibition stand selling plausible, yet on closer inspection, ludicrous products and services. ("solutions" of course)

Most of the "jokes" were industry specific, but the concept grew over several years into quite a sophisticated thing. I'd need a budget of about £10k to £15k for a 3m x 3m stand, but if I get a really big win, I might go for a bigger "island" stand. The bigger the better, I reckon.

I think witless is suggesting there should be spoof ads

Anybody read sniffpetrol? There are some good spoof car ads on there. Well, I like them anyway.

This site has up to date news and tickers (if that is the right word) but every worthwhile news site has adverts as well? There must be a wealth of material out there waiting to have the urine extracted, is the site missing a trick?
