Using special light-tricking machines, the cast of the latest candidate for the this years 'worst reason for not going to sleep' award appeared in full '3D', with the exception of Liam Neeson, who appears to have become irrevocably two dimensional since playing Aslan in 2005's winner of the same award. The event took place much to the bewilderment of the crowds who had turned up to see the latest Marks and Spencers 'Simply Food' store open in the foyer of Leicester Square's Odeon cinema.

The tiny smattering of fans there to see the actual film, said that whilst it was a pain to wear the glasses during the film, 'it did make the actors look slightly more alive than in real life', and that Pete Postlethwaite did look 'a marked improvement on his real self' portraying a tramp who dies very quickly. The sequel is to be discussed over the coming weeks, with the budget and studio time already in place. Director Louis Leterrier stated that the production teamed aimed to begin writing on August 1st, and aim to start shooting the same afternoon, after a long lunch and some champagne.
