Alan Bennett found garibaldis an essential prop for dunking in his nice cup of tea for his talking head series many years ago. Alan and Aunt Winnie aka Thora Hird used to get through three packets a show and sometimes upwards of ten when doing rehearsals.

Not sure about crutches but old style Kit-Kats could be used as a makeshift stretcher for an injured hamster.

Break the two fingers apart and slide through the red paper wrapper at either end making a sling to support the stricken rodent.

A Bourbon can be lovingly crafted in to a tasteful (and indeed tasty) memorial to a recently departed Dormouse. With care, it's even possible to fashion two Dormice gravestones from a single biscuit - so economical too.

In an emergency, a couple of Chocolate Fingers can be used as a pair of crutches for a badly maimed Guinea Pig. I always keep a handful in my first aid box – just in case.

Squashed Fly biscuits (ie.Garibaldis) can be used to to support a wobbly table leg. Try the same thing with, for example, a Rich Tea and you'd end up with crumb chaos. The Garibaldi, you see, is firm but not brittle, due to the embedded raisins. It is the reinforced concrete of the biscuit world.
Oreos (black outside, white inside) can be used as draught pieces.
I have had some success with ginger biscuits as sandpaper for fine finishing but, on a large piece (a chest of drawers for example) you'll get through several packets.

Given that I am currently bored, I wondered if we could have a section on interesting uses for a biscuit in popular culture and the real world.

This was triggered by my first nomination : Doctor Who for this week's Jammie Dodger/Tardis self-destruct button.

Anyone think of any others ?
