Your JC addition much better than my suggestion. I did wonder if it would be a tad 'Mark Thatcher getting lost' but the DD reference excellent.

Cheers. Thanks for pointing out the typos. Have made the changes.

Also have added something about Judith. I wondered about including something about her on the first draft and decided against it, but now it's in there I feel the piece is a bit more balanced and has a better overall flow.

Like this one.

'opportunity to be a pair of anchors' tick tick

Couple of typo points??

Penultimate sentence in para 2 - something missing? Number of holidays?
Same para. last sentence perhaps scope for some reference to possible technical difficulties resulting from DC's shiny forhead and JC's peculiar brand of orange tan e.g. "Fears that Cameron's sweat-prone epidermis and Chalmer's tan might together cause HD colour reproduction difficulties were dismissed by Fallon."

Penultimate para. The comma after pixies - shouldn't it be after 'insider'??

Take some stars.

The media rumour mill is working at full tilt this afternoon with widespread reports that David Cameron is being hotly tipped to become the new face of a revamped version of ITV's once massively popular holiday show Wish You Were Here, when the channel's Autumn schedule is unveiled tomorrow.

Programme executives are said to be delighted to have signed Mr Cameron who is undoubtedly the nation's holiday supremo. Speaking from the broadcaster's South Bank Studios, Head of Holiday Shows, Alan Fallon, said earlier, "Of course getting The PM on-board is a major coup for us and it will enable us to attract lucrative advertising royalties whilst the show is on air. David loves nothing more than a holiday and he's been getting into training by having three already in as many weeks. We're also very excited by what is sure to be amazing on-screen chemistry between David and the veteran presenter Judith Chalmers."

Ms. Chalmers, who in 2008 stunned long-time fans of the show when she revealed that she never wore knickers when filming on location, and who is widely seen as the role model and inspiration for David 'The Duke' Dickinson's burnt umber complexion, has commented thorough her agent that she is "delighted" her career is to enjoy something of an Indian Summer.

According to an unnamed TV insider, geordie pixies Ant and Dec, are believed to be 'gutted' at missing out on the opportunity to be a pair of anchors on the iconic programme themselves, but it's understood that they have taken a pragmatic view on ITV's decision.

Downing street would not confirm the rumours directly but Westminster watchers are calling it 'significant' that a press conference has been scheduled tomorrow at 9.00am in Skegness, when it's believed Mr Cameron and Ms. Chalmers will be in attendance.
