Agreed. What they need is scaring straight. Show them a WoM mug and tell them they'll be lucky if they even come that close to celebrity.

I hate to say it, but I agree with you Oxy. Too many kids really believe that they're destined to become a star. They don't know at what, but they know they will be.

(I feel so ashamed and dirty now.)

All politicians are bent, and ultimately just go through your pockets. At least Boris has a bit of charm about him.

The point is, I imagine, that today's yoof-oriented culture actively encourages kids to think they know it all and can just breeze their way to fame and wealth a la X Factor. It probably comes as a shock to many of them to find that after twatting their way through school and leaving with no qualifications that the world really doesn't have much use for them.

Can't remember his exact phrase, but if it was entitlement, he was using it in a negative sense.

I was half asleep when he was being interviewed on the radio this morning, but he seemed to say something about a generation of kids with a high sense of entitlement or something similar.

Has he forgotten the Bullingdon Club already?

None of the politicians have come out of this very well. Michael Gove and Harriet Harman had an entertaining spat on Newsnight last night though.
