Signed last night, the deal will see Nick Clegg replace Gordon Brown in the crucial UK final on May 6th. Brown has been further humiliated by news of his free transfer to the Communist Party of Great Britain.</p> <p>At £21M, the transfer is a UK record. Labour will doubtless be making the most of this purchase in terms of publicity, hoping to secure strong support from fans for its pivotal May 6th match. </p> <p>Nick Clegg has a strong following among fans, and it is believed many will transfer loyalties to Labour in time for the new season.</p> <p>One senior Labour insider said 'quite frankly, Gordon had become a liability.
