Thousands of people up and down the country go to hospital feeling a bit funny, and they don't know what to do. I had a friend who went to hospital feeling funny, they did nothing and just sent him on his way. 2 days later he got hit by a bus. Not one of the doctors he saw had diagnosed it. On the subject of letters after your name, my brother has an MA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. Which means he can put the letters MAFIA after his name, which I think is quite cool. Under the ruling, anyone with a physics degree can continue to adopt the prefix Dr, despite their apparent lack of any medical training. But under the terms of the compromise, the public are entitled to carry on thinking these people are uppity cunts. On the steps of Walton on Thames magistrates court, Dr Hook was the first to congratulate the men behind the ruling. 'This is a victory for common sense.' he said. Traditionally people have respected the title of Doctor, with its connotations of someone being an upstanding member of the community. And we are upholding that tradition, said Capital Radio DJ and reality show panelist Dr Fox. 'The idea that any arsehole with delusions of grandeur can call himself doctor is complete nonsense,' said Dr Fox. 'We have to earn that title, in the same way that others might earn respect.'
