I always write short stories or had stupid ideas and tried to submit stuff to The Onion and Private Eye but they don't take anything, but i never knew if anything was any good. This was the first place i could get some feedback and see some stuff was good and some stuff was rubbish. It also lead me to try to get stuff on programmes like Look Away Now and Newsjack (most stuff rejected but a couple of bits got through)</p> <p>After giving up on writing after two failed novels Newsbiscuit and getting int eh Isle of Wight Ceefax book gave me the incentive to go back and write a third and it is that one that that is the book that came out Thursday.
