Develop it into a full length story? Have I missed something here? If it gets any longer it'll take about 3 hours to read. Is the FP being extended to the length of a novel?

Did it start off as a one-liner and get extended after that comment or something?

This is a very good topical idea with lots of potential. Does anybody fancy trying to develop it into a full-length story?

A senior Lib Dem councillor has warned that the sham marriage of the Liberal Party to the Conservatives could result in many Lib Dem councillors losing their seats on 5 May due to coalition policies

Over the past nine months, 306 Tory MPs and 57 Liberal MPs have been implicated in perpetration of a sham marriage.

Nick Clegg has rejected a call to end the “Marriage of convenience and ongoing bromance with David Cameron” in order to save his party.

The Lib Dem leader and deputy PM told the BBC that Warren Bradley had "said these things before" and was "wrong".

Mr Bradley wrote to him saying many Lib Dem councillors could lose their seats on 5 May due to coalition policies and that under new rules could face additional prison sentences for the continued perpetration of a Sham marriage.

In a leaked letter to Mr Clegg, Mr Bradley warned that local election defeats could set the party back 40 years and that local councillors were "tired of defending the indefensible". And that the sham marriages were the work of crime gangs involved in prostitution, public sector cuts, redundancies, drugs, tuition fee increases, money laundering and people trafficking.

"Increasing enforcement action has resulted in over 364 individual MPs being identified across the country, and would-be fraudsters should remember that a marriage itself does not equal an automatic right to remain in power in the UK"

In some cases, the fake brides such as Vince Cable were "absolutely frightened" and still look uneasy and terrified in public. "There are certainly things that make you suspicious. Sometimes couples don't even know the full name or date of birth of the person they are planning to marry".

"We had one wedding where it was all men, apart from the bride - who was the only woman at the ceremony. The next day all the same guests came back for another wedding. Only the bride and groom were different. The guests were the same, although some were in different clothes and the witnesses had been moved around."

A major Criminal gang (or the Tory Party) behind sham marriages has in the past exploited the ease with which the Liberal Party leadership would jump into bed with anybody to gain a modicum of power, even deserting their principles and political ideologies,” a leading political analyst said.

Members of the public are also being urged to report any suspicions they have that the marriage is not genuine.

The new guidance states that Political Parties should in the run up to an election apply for a "common licence", which involves the swearing of affidavits and classes.
It says if anybody is not satisfied that the marriage is genuine, he or she must make that clear to the person responsible for granting the licence.

“Our main aim is to identify the organisers who profit from and fuel the need for this sham marriage. The boil is about to come to a head and burst (probably on election night) when we lose some very well respected and experienced colleagues, not because of their record, but because of your (Nick Clegg) bromance and marriage to David Cameron, and the perception of what we as Liberal Democrats now are, the lap dog Tory Biatch".

"As a party we have to reconsider what and who we are before we disappear into the annals of history as a political party who promised so much hope, yet failed because they wanted control and power."

Mr Clegg has found himself a target for anger over tuition fees and spending cuts since his betrothal to the Conservatives following last May's general election and the party's poll ratings have fallen from an average of 21% to 13%, according to research.

On Monday Tavish Scott, the Lib Dem leader in Scotland, joked about Mr Clegg's admission in a magazine interview last week that he "cries regularly to David Cameron’s speeches". He told Clyde 2 radio: "Nick Clegg doesn't make me cry, grimace occasionally, but not cry

More soon
