It has got our election campaign off to a flying start. This time last year Nick could only have dreamed of coming third and proves just how much progress we have made in recent months. It shows we are getting our policies across to the electorate just when it really matters'.<br /> 'We put a lot of hard work into organising this event' said Rennard 'the night was a terrific success for the Lib/Dems as a party and for Nick personally.<br /> Admittedly, he was a little downbeat when his mum selected number two from the line up of entrants but he soon got over that.<br /> I think you will find people will be taking Mick a lot more seriously from now on'. </p>
