Terrorist group Al-Qaeda have confirmed they are planning to hold an away day this summer in Weston-super-mare.
A spokesperson for the organisation explained that initially there was some disquiet over the choice of location, “Some members felt somewhere like East Grinstead, or Eastbourne, would be more appropriate. However, we feel the ease of communications afforded by the proximity to the M5, A303, local airports and the rail network overruled any objections based purely on the name”.
They went on to explain, “In an organisation like ours, which is spread all around the world, it is good to have the opportunity to get together to focus on particular tasks without being distracted by the normal day to day demands.
Aside from break-out groups discussing how they may overcome particular difficulties, the delegates will take part in team building exercises such as paintballing and building Lego bridges.
They continued, “Many of members are looking forward to having the opportunity of visiting ‘The Valley of the Rocks’, setting of the novel ‘Lorna Doone’”.
There will also be a special ‘surprise’ speaker. One delegate commented, “We are all really excited. We have heard on the grapevine it might actually be Osama, or failing the that ex-Eastenders star Dean Gaffney”.
