After all, I did bring my own bag for life so they should really have waived this extra charge under the circumstances.”<br /> A Tesco spokesman, Mr Simon Jones, said this was a very rare occurrence. Though he added he had heard of one woman who had qualified for 1000 extra store points when her stripy top was scanned by the barcode reader as a purchase for a particularly large pair of melons. </p>
