<p>Coalition Business Secretary Vince Cable has admitted he does not know the difference between a pledge to voters, and a promise to Nick Clegg and David Cameron to support tuition fee rises - and the confusion is making his head hurt. "It was so much easier in opposition" he whines, "then we could promise what we like and nobody listened to us. Now they have to listen to our reactionary nonsense and they understand why they did not want us in the first place" Mr Cable (aged 55 - but can we believe him?)cannot decide whether to break a solemn pledge to several million ordinary voters or break the coalition agreement that has given him a £150K job and a seat next to Old Etonians at cabinet. Tough choices! Wonder which way he will jump.
