Thanks Madjez
Just returned from a Duke of Edinburgh weekend in Shropshire, so a little late in responding.
Clean baton change.
I was tempted with The Umpires 'lossability' word (sounds great)
Lots of pukeish sporting cliches considered : podiumed - pitted - PB'ed - medalled - sicked - parroted - mooned
But how about 'wrecking ball'
Jeni, that's not so hard (well, it is quite hard - but you know what I mean).

Firstly apologies for writing Sunday deadline on here and then sticking Monday in my diary (doh).

Well the power of subliminal advertising, I thought I’d picked something random only to find that Marmite had indeed brought out a cereal bar and were bombarding us with ads. Anyway thanks for all your entries.

Honourable mentions :
I liked the ‘Marr-Might’ of both John Square and Virtuallywill. Mr Blacker was a good concept but far too long for my short attention span (look a meerkat). Theumpire caused me to attempt suicide long before finishing his epic (by the way you and Blacker owe me an ink cartridge between you !). And finally Grunties ‘maketh them cast up the contents of their stomachs’ a lovely turn of phrase.

But my favourite was Edward Hack with the wonderfully topical ‘Legal high could face ban.’ I had always suspected it’s narcotic effects on 50% of the population and you got a couple of gay jokes for good measure. I know it doesn’t actually contain the word Marmite (I’ve checked) so it might be bending the rules but it did tickle me. So Mr H if you can come up with something far more original and hopefully hit the judging deadline that would be great.

PS I will be adding Edward Hack tickled me with Marmite to the Trufax page.
