Conservative leader David Cameron has said that the Weather 'scented weakness' in the Prime Minister and the government and that was why there had been so much rain in the last few weeks. Indeed, the Leader of the Opposition went further and suggested that the Prime Minister's weakness had been responsible for the heavy snow falls last Decemeber.

The Weather can scent the weakness of the Prime Minister and that is why it has been punishing this Island of ours. A leader should take a tougher stance in these negotiations and be more supportive of those rain clouds that have not burst!

David Cameron went on to guarantee that if a Conservative government is elected in May, the weather would markedly improve. However he also cautioned voters:

People have to realise that Broken Britain is in dire straights and so the honeymoon period can only last so long. I'd reckon that we would only be able to guarantee improved weather for about 4 months after we come to power and then the necessary cutbacks are going to start to bite.
