Unfortunately for the physician it was actually a massive pothole caused by years of neglect on that stretch of road.</p> <p>Witnesses reported seeing Foster fall 'up to his middle'. He was eventually able to make his way out of the hole, soaking wet but having suffered only minor injuries.</p> <p>Dr Foster was later quoted as saying he would never go there again.</p> <p>The Highways Agency have refused to comment. </p>
