A new virus, "Bitumenitus" which affects Tarmac, has been detected on roads in UK.
Transport officials have coned off many lanes, for quarantine purposes.
One of the symptoms is that roads become congested even when there is low volume traffic.
the ministry have determined that just digging up the road does no good, it is better to let it have a rest & do sod all for a while.
The increased infection rate could be linked to a drop in "regular brushing".
this allows a build up of detritus & plaque. if left untreated this can cause double yellow lines & Kerb decay. In extreme cases, the yellowing can extend to the crown of the road, giving a single yellow line in the middle. Once this happens, delivery vans & taxi's park there all day & the road is completely Gummed up.
The local Authorities have been doing more fillings, but with the onset of winter, it is likely that more cavities will occur & False kerbs may have to be fitted.
The virus is thought to be a new strain of the Vandemic "Vehiculum Frustratum"
and can be prevented by regular brushing and the use of "Roadwash"
