So, the star witness is 'out of the country' is he? Hmmm. Pity. And the original documents were left in the basement of the old warehouse, which then burnt down in mysterious circumstances amid suggestions of a possible insurance scam, huh? The CPS aren't gonna like it boss.

I see CSINB have been hard at work. Well done Mr Gor and Sundry. I'm pretty sure it was Shitsu who identified that example you found but I can't remember which comic it belonged to. Shitsu's probably dodging bears and hill-billies in the Adirondacks as we speak.
A few weeks later I heard Fred MacAuley come out with, on the Saturday repeat of News Quiz, the exact same joke as the witch had posted Friday evening. This particularly pissed me off as on the first occasion I'd written something giving possible excuses for her/him.
I used the term Ms Witch on purpose BTW because I had a sneaky feeling she was really a transvestite warlock. Now she comes on like an eye fluttering distressed damsel who can't believe anyone could be so cruel to her. Nice one Stevee (ms)

Ah, it's turned into a Witch hunt. Fetch out the ducking stool.

Technically, we'd probably have to cite the original source, establish a link between the two to prove there was an intentional breach of copyright rather than it just being a case of coincidence, and get the originator of the piece to bring the case to court. I'm not sure whether a third party can bring a breach of copyright claim to court on behalf of 'anonymous'.

My own choice of PW quotes for the day are:

I look forward to people getting on with what they do best on here - being bizzare [sic*], witty, inventive and above all funny (1)

if you didn't press the shutter button you didn't take the photo (2)

References:
(1) pagan witch, 29/09/09, 21:46
(2) pagan witch, 22/10/09, 22:01

[* Correct spelling is bizarre for literary excellence.]

I love a challenge...
Here's one that was spotted and mentioned at the time:
http://beta.newsbiscuit.com/board/65/38/5//Whirlwind-causes-havoc.html

I just assumed that P.Witch didn't realise it was a site for original humour.

Ram - any chance of you backing up your accusation of Pagan Witch's plagiarism with an example? I see from the Witch's website (click his gravatar) that he's very keen on copyright law, so this could be the hypocrisy exposee of the decade...

Take no notice of the swearing Ms Witch. It's allowed (after 9 pm) and can be quite bad on a Friday or Saturday night. I blame alcohol myself. It loosens the typing fingers. Instead, you could think of Ramblesid as your younger brother, then when he behaves like that, you can read it as a sign of affection and respect. He's probably jealous 'cos you picked a really cool handle. I would have gone for Lights Witch myself, but as you say, it takes all sorts.

The Haynes manual for Apollo 11. Not many people want to chat about the difference between a G class lunar lander and the J class that carried the lunar rover. Also, i'm having trouble finding a second hand Saturn 5 to do up and the back garden really isn't large enough so I need to rent a very big garage.

How about popular authors of not too long ago who have disappeared. J.P. Donleavy for one. The Onion Eaters and Beastly Beatitudes of Balthazar B remain as two of my desert island books but I haven't seen him in a bookshop or library for years. Mind you, libraries round here don't concentrate too much on books anymore.
