Car giant Nissan set to bring the criminal getaway car roaring into the 21st century.
The all electric T Leaf which runs entirely on lithium batteries is set to revolutionise the way in which gangsters and armed robbers escape following a blag.
Over recent years the getaway car has largely fallen out of favour with the criminal classes who agree there has been little to compare with the Mk1 Ford Consul GT since it's heyday in the mid 70's
Known for its screechy tyres and doors flying open when taking corners it was the car of choice for all would be villians hoping to make a name for themselves during the three day week.
The decision could safeguard around 3000 jobs around the country although could lead to the closure of more Post Offices, especially in more rural areas and Essex.
If succesful this could lead to the introduction of a new top of the range car to attract petty thieves who target drunks and prostitutes - The Roller.
