The agonising wait for a decision, from the owner of the Landrover Freelander in front of you in Waitrose Car Park, went into day three this morning. But hope for a resolution is at hand, as the driver of the four wheel drive behemoth is reportedly near the end of a comprehensive review of "Which Parking Space" magazine.

Yesterday, as the owner of the Freelander appeared to have lapsed into a coma, drivers of smaller cars desperately tried to revive her, with gentle toots of their horn. But the driver, who did not respond to stimulus from lower life forms, was unmoved. Many drivers gave up and decided to pray that the car would eventually move.

But one troller returner, out of curiosity, peeked into the window of the colussus that was blocking the entire supermarket car park. Peering into the windscreen of the Freelander, he saw a sight that would make a bishop kick in a stained glass window.

"The owner of the car was clearly perplexed. She was reading an article in Which Parking Space magazine, which obviously didnt get to the point quickly enough," said the witnesss, "the poor woman was forced to read the entire magazine, and associated adverts, and still seemed none the wiser at the end of it."
