Speaking at the Anglo-French Peace Talks in Geneva Mr. Osborne said “I think in one respect Mr. Sarkozy is a great European leader of similar stature to Napoleon …”. </p> <p>Reactions from the Élysée Palace have so far not been encouraging. </p>
