The trouble is, there's no option to opt out.</p> <p>It astonishes me that the BBC is allowed to refer to a slight reduction in benefits for people who live in unnecessarily large houses at the expense of others as a 'bedroom tax', while bullying people to pay them for the privilege of owning a box with wires in isn't referred to as a tax at all.</p> <p>It's in big trouble though. Over a million people are refusing to pay their TV tax at the moment due to technical loop-holes in the law. The BBC is condemned for failing to innovate.<br /> Etc etc</p> <p>Over the last two years the BBC has been dealing with a severe and sudden budget cut (goodbye regional reporting) and had all sorts of shit thrown at it, and still produced some pretty good stuff.<br /> As for comedy, this site came about when JOF realised the beeb had cut back on its new writer opportunities for financial reasons. Many of you reading this have the talent to make it as scriptwriters, and I look forward to seeing your stuff on Dave or Uk Gold in 5 years' time. </p>
