Libya is in a state of civil war. Spies for the Rebel Alliance have stolen plans to Colonel Gadaffi's Death Stair: a weapon capable of annihilating an entire city. Rebel leader Mustafa Abdul Jalil is in possession of the plans, but his convoy is captured by Government forces under the leadership of evil Lord Abdul Senussi. Before he is captured Mustafa hides the plans in a wheelie bin called Falt-2 Acacia Avenue along with a holographic recording. The wheelie bin escapes to the desert city of Tatooine with fellow bin Flat-3.
The two droids are quickly captured by Belarusian mercenaries who sell the pair to farmer Owen Lars and his nephew Luke Al-Skywalker. While Luke is cleaning Flat-2 he accidentaly triggers part of Mustafa's holographic message, in which he requests help from Anders Fogh Rasmussen. The only "Rasmussen" Luke knows is of an old hermit who lives in nearby NATO headquarters: Owen however dismisses any connection, suggesting instead that Rasmussen is in Denmark...

Meanwhile a phone call brings unexpected news...

David Cameron will take the place of Stuart Adamson as lead singer of Big Country , he will be joined by Bruce Watson, Tony Butler and Mark Brzezicki .
Cameron believes he can mix the bagpipe swirl of his electric guitar with celtic rock and a society where individuals are responsible for themselves and each other rather than the state. “This is celtic rock with a small c and a small e and a small l… well you get the picture” said Cameron dressed in a bandana, plaid shirt and worn Levi's.

The Council Leader of The Isle of Wight Mr. Brian Rampant has stated emphatically that there are not any Atomic weapons stored on The IOW. He has written a letter to Yukiya Amano of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to explain the islands’ position and a commitment to prove it. Weapons inspectors have been invited to search anywhere and for as long as it takes.
Brochures have been sent that illustrate the many hotels and guest houses that can be used for the inspection teams accommodation. There are also my places of interest to visit with an excellent range of restaurants to wine and dine. Families are well catered for so weapons inspectors need not let a lengthy stay mean it is time away from loved ones. Mr Rampant also asked to be quoted “ We have no links with any terrorist organizations and would ask all International bodies concerned to come to The Isle of Wight with its’ miles of beautiful beaches and see the lack of terrorist links for themselves.”

Van Morrison will have to change his name on all his back catalogue albums as well as future releases. Under new legislation as part of “The description of goods and services directive” all names of goods, products and services have to be clear and unambiguous.
A spokesthingy said on behalf of Mr Morrison “I am incensed that the name I have been using for 50 years has been judged inappropriate by some faceless bland bureaucrat from Brussels”, however EC commissioner Terne Sans Visage has declared this a “justified right of all Europeans”
A new “Greatest Hits” cd will be released in November titled “Truck with enclosed cargo space Morrison’s Greatest Hits”.
Meatloaf is apparently upset that he will now have to be billed as “Meatloaf (55%) including mechanically recovered” and recent chart toppers Owl City will now be known as “nests”, though they are happy with this.

Network Rail has requested quotes for the replacement Bus Service for the yet to be “green-lighted” high speed rail link
If construction does go ahead it could begin as early as 2017, the 250mph trains could run as fast as 400Km/ph by 2025. If the autumn is particularly wet or windy or dry then the replacement bus service would be required.
Mr Steve Milliband spokesman for “The consultation group to decide if railway is needed” said “We see the possibility for a replacement bus service between Birmingham during September 2025, around the 8th, at about 10.08, It may be that some passengers will want to travel out of London, but I cannot think why”.
There already several interested groups, First National, Stagecoach, Replacement bus services limited, and Ryan air.
Ryan air have submitted a quote of less than £95.00 for 20,000 passenger journeys, though this does not include seating, or food, or drink, or toilets or buses.

Stillness Stevens will now take the leading role in the west end production of "The day the Earth stood still".
"It's a life goal for me" said Michael Barret the former communist singing milkman.
"The Elvis rock n' roll thing was just a cover for my tremors, I can now keep my limbs still, which makes driving much easier."
I can also go through the green door at my local pub behind which a happy crowd play piano, smoke and laugh a lot, hospitality has always been thin there"

Helen Skelton today used the word canoes as a verb, but refused to apologise after her 2,000 mile paddle.
