Apparently that’s all teachers do in their spare time.’ </p> <p>Fifteen year old Megan said that although Forrest had taken good care of her, he had been rather dull. ‘Mr Forrest insisted on taking register every morning and he carried out a full risk assessment every time we went anywhere. Then, of course, he insisted that I did my homework every evening just like my parents. Christ, it was just like being at home. Worse, actually, as the food in France is shit.’</p> <p>So why did Forrest finally had himself in to the authorities? ‘Er .. I told Mr Forrest that I had forged my parent’s signature on the school outing permission slip,’ she admitted. ‘He said something about breach of parental trust, the next OFSTED inspection, and the school policy of not being able to take a child out of school for more than a week during term time.’</p> <p>‘To be honest I think the pressure has been too much for him.
