"The QRC are the only body who know how many quangos we have, what they do and their budgets", said Mr Maude. "It would be difficult to abolish the QRC because no one else has this information."<br /> QRC Chief Executive, Jeffrey Thorpe said, "We are delighted that the new government recognises our valuable work. At only £100m a year, there is clear evidence that we provide a fit for purpose, value added service that is used by dozens of people. The union's Jackie Twigg said.</p> <p>"As it is, we have a hard enough time controlling unruly pupils and this will only make things worse. Although not for me, because as I work for the union I've managed to leave the bastards behind."</p> <p>The Schools Secretary Ed Balls has dismissed the claim, but refused to give any grounds for the rejection until a bigger boy's told him what to say. </p>
