The singer and actress Whitney Houston died on Sunday night leaving behind a great feeling of sadness within her many fans. Her death has also sparked fury as images of the bath in which she drew he last breath have been featured in newspapers and televisions sets worldwide. Industry insiders [they asked not to be named so their children could still love them] defended the decision, “I think it’s comforting,” said one. “The colour of the water lets them know she died clean. Apart from the drugs obviously.” Another claimed she would have wanted this way, “Do for them in death what they did in life. And she was on Cribs.”
It is possible the bath could be put on auction with the proceeds going to charity. “Who wouldn’t want the death bed of a celebrity in their home? I tried to get Saddam Hussains rope but I was out bidded and had to settle for the trap door,” said The Sun editor Dominic Mohan, “I use it as a cat flap.”. When pressed on what charity the money would go do he admitted, “It will go to help innocent people fight charges that are certainly not true.”
Channel 5 bosses are thought to be interested in signing the bath up for next years Celebrity Big Brother, hoping that tub combined with Houston love ballads would lead to a sexy romps by less interesting, more alive celebrities. Most people in the street ate outraged by such decisions, Liz says, “It’s disgusting. Giving Whitney’s bath to some rich sicko. It should be in a Museum so the public can enjoy it.”
What to do with the water is another matter entirely. There are no concrete plans at the minute but the most likely option is that it will be bottled and sold. With the recipients hoping that by ingesting the liquid they will steal a little bit of Whitney Houston’s very soul.
