Sinnick on "Dr. Who"

Yes, I rather like the Dr Who now it's been revitalised, but the last few episodes with Clara are clearly aimed at teenagers rather than old gits like me. And I'm not sure it all hangs together logically, apart from the occasionally poor acting.

John Hurt: I think the Doctor said "yes he's me but he's not a Time Lord" or something like that.

Leaves it wide open for the November anniversary special. I suspect he's his opposite - all the bad things the Doctor doesn't have.

Just did a Google. Opinion seems to be divided. As Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor, John Hurt could be the 0th or somewhere between 6 and 7 - or something. It's getting a bit heavy.

And his companion Clara seems to have been around the block a few times herself.

And then there's the Silurian woman who's apparently a lesbian, and the bellicose bullet shaped chappie...

Very odd.

I think we are meant to be confused. The 50th anniversary episode is next and John Hurt is a doctor but we don't know if he is the next one or something else.
But it is more confusing and it's not just you !

Watched last week's Doctor Who last night. It's getting increasingly more difficult to understand - perhaps my advancing years.

But does it mean that John Hurt is the new Doctor???

Tinker, 4, savaged himself to death in front of his horrified Pedigree chums at the international dog event Crufts, apparently in protest of the new Canine Equality Bill. Legislation banning direct or indirect discrimination against dogs in terms of their breed was proposed last weekend, meaning that Crufts can no longer show preference to pedigree dogs when making their judgements.

“This is an outrage!” cried Tinker’s owner, Mrs Shufflebottom. “This exposes both the competition and the wider society to all sorts of problems. You could have Chihuahuas breeding with Doberman Pinschers and then where will we be? You could end up with a dog that looks really cute and fluffy, but then unexpectedly turns around and bites your hand off. And will it be a Chihuahua or a Doberman Pinscher? This is liberalism run mad."

However, the new bill has been welcomed by animal welfare groups, who have long been arguing that inbreeding has led to a high proportion of genetic disorders in some breeds, such as Canine Haemophilia and Swivel-eyed Loonism.
